Play Nocturne, a virtual piano

Nocturne puts an 88-key piano in your browser, from A0 to C8. You can play without an account, choose a sound, practice with a metronome, and record a short take on your own device. The piano below is the interactive app; press Start playing to enable sound.

Open the piano in a new tab ↗

What you can explore

  • Four sounds: Grand Piano, Electric Piano, Soft Organ, and Music Box.
  • Practice controls: adjust volume and room reverb, use sustain, move across the 88-key range, or switch on the metronome.
  • Play your way: tap the keys, use the on-screen computer-keyboard guide, or connect a supported MIDI device.
  • Keep a take: record up to three minutes, play it back, and export a WAV file. The app says recordings are saved on your device.

Getting started

If the embedded piano does not load or your browser blocks sound, use the direct link above. After starting the app, use its Help button for controls. On a computer keyboard, the app shows A, W, S, E, and D among the playable keys; Z and X change octave and Space controls sustain. The built-in piano is designed to work offline once available in your browser.
